<p>I was wondering if anyone on CC knew about some of the direct-med programs in upper-tier schools. I know UC Berkeley just got one.</p>

<p>These programs are insanely hard to get into. We were told at an admissions session that at URochester, they typically get 900 applicants for 10 spots. Many (maybe most) of them select a few dozen candidates based on stats and recommendations, then pick the winners through a series of interviews.</p>
