Top-tier schools and AP classes?

Hey guys,

i was just wondering if its any possible to get into top-tier schools (like ivy league) w/o any AP classes? and if so, by how much percent of admitted students did not have AP classes?

I don't know any percentages, but they are looking for a transcript that has a good GPA with the most challenging classes that your particular school offers. In other words, they cannot penalize you if your school does not offer AP or honors classes, but they are looking for high GPA/SAT/ACT scores and a challenging transcript.

Hope this helps :)

unless you are hooked, you generally need to take the most rigorous course load offered. if your school does not offer AP classes, the top tier schools won't penalize you for it. (at least they say they won't.)

some students take IB, which is generally regarded as equal to/better than AP.
