Top undergrad b-school from the list??

<p>What is the best business school for undergrads out of Wake Forest, UMiami, Boston U, and Syracuse? I am looking to go into investment banking, so prestige will most likely play a big role in my jobs? How would one rank in order of prestige/undergrad options?</p>

For accounting you won’t find a better school than Wake Forest. They’ve been #1 in the country for CPA pass rate (100%) for the past 6 years running, and are heavily recruited by all of the big 4.</p>

<p>The undergraduate school of business and finance (Calloway) is very strong too - Business Week has ranked them #1 or #2 in academic quality for the past 3-4 years. Small classes, great professors, interesting and always evolving curriculum. When you come out, you’ll be able to compete with kids from the top schools in the country. All the Wake grads that I’ve worked with that made it in finance were extremely sharp.</p>

<p>That said, sometimes it’s tough to get the chance to compete. Calloway is hard, and legendary for grade deflation. You’re going to get B’s - that’s plural. So the trouble is that Calloway cranks out tons of really bright students with 3.5s, but it can be hard for them to compete with the Ivy kids and their inflated 3.9s. That, coupled with its small size and Tobacco Road location, means you don’t see all the New York BBs at Wake to recruit - BofA and WF are always there, and Citi, Goldman, and CS have been known to come sporadically. Several Charlotte boutiques also recruit there a fair bit.

<p>prestige-wise, I think it would be Wake Forest>BU>UMiami. I don’t know about Syracuse though. I have to say that the business program in UMiami, while decent, is lackluster compared to many other schools out there. And if you want to work in New York upon graduation, there are other options=)</p>
