Net worth of 750K-$1,000,000 is nice, but it’s not Donald Trump. Having enough money to be comfortable doesn’t mean one has no problems, that life is rosy, or the individual hasn’t had to work hard, scrimp, and save to get to that point. A net worth in that range doesn’t mean they are living in a mansion with servants and a five car garage. They are very fortunate, no doubt, but let’s not get carried away with tales of whose struggles have been worse. I can’t imagine the OP’s father was feeling like he was on easy street while in the military for 21 years or deployed for 16 months. There is no reason to go after this kid’s throat. He’ll learn about the big bad world soon enough.
