Tough it out in Precalc, or go to the community College

So, I started off this summer advocating to get placed in Calculus instead of Precalculus, because I did awesome in Alg/2 Trig which was easy, I really like math, I want a challenge, and I self taught myself basic Differential and Integral Calculus. My stubborn math head told me precalc was an absolute prerequisite, and I couldn't go into Calculus, trust me I protested. So I know if I stay in precalc I won't be challenged( we don't cover limits until 4th quarter, I already know Integrals 1st day, further than the Calculus BC class is first day), The class won't be fun, and I will lose knowledge. So, do you think I should ditch my high school's math track, try to enroll in Calculus I at my local CC this spring, then go right from there into Calculus II in the summer, then I can do Multivariate(III) and possibly diff equations and linear algebra senior year. OR do I stick it out in precalc, and do Calc BC next year. How will this effect me in college admissions? and assuming I complete Calc III or further by college time, will I need to redo the sequence at college? I appreciate your responses

tl;dr, to the question: keep pre calc.

What year of high school are you? The pre-req of Calculus I class in most CCs is pre-calculus.

Take pre-cal and take something else to challenge yourself

OP, did you take a placement test or second semester final to prove that you know enough to move up to calculus? If you haven’t, then I would take it to prove to teachers that you’ve mastered the material.

Rushing is a bad thing, just take Pre-Calculus.

There’s no placement test in our school, I am a current junior, my Precalculus teacher is the Calculus teacher, in our school it goes right from Precalculus to Calc BC, or AB. Also, I may be completely out of luck because in our school we have tests at the beginning of the year on all the content to evaluate teacher performance, and I though if I did good on that than I could, but we don’t take one because it is a class where you’re enrolled in the community college( a different one than the one I would be going to)
