<p>Regarding question 1, “more than 40 years” is not a specific time and you should use the present perfect.</p>

<p>Regarding question 2, the answer should be B. Instead of “stimulate,” it should read “stimulated” because you are referring to an event in the past.</p>

<p>Regarding question 3, “to be” should be “as”; otherwise, it sounds like the viewers are “sentencing” the advertisements to be tasteless. Condemn has two meanings and the use of “to be” after fits the second meaning (sentence)</p>

<p>Regarding question 4, your fix is wrong because you need the past tense “showed”.</p>
