Tour Norcal and Socal colleges?

Hi all, this may seem like a longshot, but I was wondering if there was any possible way to tour UCB, UCSD, UCI and a couple more colleges on a budget with little time in a couple weeks? I’m touring from CO, so the less time/ money it would take, the better
Thanks all in advance
(and yes I know this is asking for a lot. I’m just asking if there is a chance to do so)

Anyone can walk on those campuses and begin your own self-guided tour. However if you want a tour with a guide and an information session, you will need to call each individual school’s admissions department and schedule tours for the time period you are planning on staying in CA.

Take the guided tour. You gain a much deeper understanding of what the school is all about. You can schedule them on-line and they are free.

Seems like hotels will be the most expensive part of the trip. Are you driving or flying to CA from CO? If flying, check Southwest for fares. If you aren’t driving, you might look into Amtrak.

I don’t know if UCLA is on your list, but they don’t appear to give guided tours in late June and all of July.

Since you are on a budget, are you aware that there is no financial aid given for the OOS supplement for UC tuition? And that OOS tuition to the UCs will be increasing 5-8% per year for the next few years?

You will be more time efficient if you fly on Southwest. You need to schedule days for UCSD housing and school tour. Same with Irvine. You need to fly to Berkeley. I agree with @Ynotgo that you need to be aware that as an OOS it will be expensive. OOS students are not given much in financial aid.

Camping! And I’m not kidding. I know someone who did it. The family had a blast and toured many CA colleges in one trip.

^^^Love the camping idea but but campgrounds in So Cal in the summer are almost impossible to get!
