Tour over Christmas?

We are going to be in Williamsburg this coming Christmas. We know the school won’t be in session, but we are hoping that there is a drop box for brochures and maps in front of the admissions office?

We have a high school junior. We are from Maryland so we’re looking at out-of-state prices and we know the out-of-state admissions percentage is lower, but William and Mary ticks a lot of those must-have boxes for the kid.

You can call admissions now and ask what might be available when you are there.
And most colleges have online campus maps so you can probably print one out before you go and bring it with you.

Hey @ninakatarina!

Merry Christmas! You can definitely sign up for their mailing lists and they have a self guided tour brochure around somewhere that you can use as you walk around. Unfortunately the admissions office is not open over break, however I am a student there and do work there part time, so feel free to ask me any questions and I can get back to you. I probably don’t know the answers to some of the more technical questions, but can talk about the experience/know a good deal about the school in general. Hope you are enjoying the break!

Heh, we just arrived back home from the trip, @shawnspencer .

We wandered around campus in the wind yesterday, on Christmas morning. We didn’t see any drop point for brochures outside admissions, but I did get the campus map on my phone, so we were able to say, those are dorms, those are academic building. We admired some posters on the poster boards outside, then wandered over to colonial Williamsburg.

I’ll round up some questions from the kiddo later on. Right now he is deep in Fallout and can’t be bothered with anything that doesn’t involve post-nuclear wastelands.
