hi I’m a senior who is new to this forum, and I don’t know where else to get any answers. so I applied to Towson early action and I got a letter in the mail last month telling me that I needed to send senior grades up until this point, which I did, I sent my mid-year transcript and they received it according to my application status checker. has anyone gone through this before and have been successful? I’m so nervous and worried. I have seen many people with credentials lower than mine get accepted. my gpa is about a 3.0 and my SATs are 1570. I am African American if that matters. also should I send them my resume? because on the application there was no place to put any extracurricular activities or leadership positions, which I do have.
You can call Towson admissions and ask to speak to the advisor who deals with your school. He or she will be glad to hear from you; plus it shows your interest in Towson.
The same thing is happening to my friend, your gpa is little low so they are probably just waiting to see if there’s improvement.your friend that got it with lower grades, Did the friend have harder classes. Towson looks at the rigor of your classes.
Just curious to know whether you were admitted@kbster. Took our son, class of 2016 for a visit recently. We live in Maryland but not sure he has to stats to get in. He has taken all honors classes and has a 3.1-3.2 weighted cumulative GPA with a 22 ACT composite and no prep. He will study over the summer to try to get it up. They told us the average GPA is 3.6.
Yes i was admitted thankfully. Your son should be admitted if he slightly brushes up on his scores and gets his unweighted GPA up, so far he seems on the right track.
