Typically, when does tracking application stuff become available for ED applicants? Mine still says "tracking materials is still not available at the time."

Hey guys, mine still says “tracking materials is still not availabe at the time” but it also says:
Does this mean they don’t have my SAT/Transcript??? D:

^ same here it says the same, even though i sent them in

At least this way I got rejected due to an administrative error. :p

J/k. I guess they just haven’t updated stuff yet?

Same here Euroazn, missing scores and counselor rec.

Conspiracy to reject the low GPAers :<

I had:

Outstanding Application Materials:
SAT Reasoning Tests (I)/ACT tests

for about 2 hours and then it disappeared…

Hey - You’re right… it’s gone now…

^ Ever wonder if someone in the admissions office actually follows these threads?

■■■■■ I sure hope not. :o

mine still says: We are currently processing a large volume of documents. Tracking for required application materials is not yet available. Please allow time for documents to be processed.

but the outstandings materials phrase is gone. is everyone else’s like this?

yeah mine is like that too.

^yep, same here.

Do you guys think they’ll get tracking to work soon? One of my teachers sent his rec via naviance and another by mail, so I’m just feeling a little uneasy about making sure Penn receives all my stuff.

I have heard from other students in the past at Penn that if something is missing in your application they will contact you directly. I wouldn’t worry too much about the general message on the Portal, I think everyone is seeing the same thing and the Admissions Department is most likely over worked at this point in time with all of the applications that they’ve received.

My son’s penn portal said the same thing yesterday about SAt I’s missing. I called the Regional Admissions person and he said that there was a glitch in the system. If anything is missing they Email the applicant directly. It is gone on my son’s Penn portal.

lol, it’s good to be a helicopter parent and all, but don’t you think that he should be handling some of this by himself?

@Euroazn, I totally agree. @GMABCD, My parents are very supportive of me, but they have encouraged me to approach things such as this independently. It’s funny when I see parents posting on CC in regards to admissions. If your son or daughter really wants to attend an Ivy League school then he or she should have the maturity to apply and find questions to their answers by themselves. I’m glad you’re supportive of your son though! Best of luck to you guys.
Anyway, does anyone know the official date that those who applied ED will be receiving an admissions decision? I think it might be December 15th, but I’m not too sure.

^ Jordan, you should have one of your parents call to find out. :)

In fairness to GMABCD, by the way, it’s possible that his/her son was unable to make the call during business hours. How 'bout we cut the parents some slack.

I know how hard all of these parents who have raised such bright students have worked! Really, I do! But, there have been times where I’ve heard and read of parents filling out college applications for their children. It just makes me wonder how in the world these students plan on living independently in less than a year.
