Hello,
My son will be staying in Traditions and the apartment is furnished.
Will any kitchen supplies be there?
I’m trying to decide what he should bring.

I doubt anything is provided other than the appliances. This means S will need plates, silverware, cups, tupperware, any cooking tools he wants (pots, pans, sheets, etc.). If you want to double check before you pack it all, you can always call Housing and Food and they’ll tell you for sure.
What WoolScarves said. Bring toilet paper, too. A basic shower curtain is provided.
@Missaltoe If you are going to drive to drop the student, then you can plan and buy everything. But if the student is going to fly alone, even with Southwest, you have to ensure it is not going to be over 100 lbs, which is nothing and in time it will take exceed.
So pack only the unusual and hard to get. All grocery items can be purchased at local Walmart / Target / Sprouts. And big items and almost every thing you can order at Amazon and deliver to the address.
My D went 2 days back by flight and parents were over doing and by the time packed and weighed it is way too much and have to take back most of it.
