Transcript Not Received?

my counselor submitted the transcripts on 30th oct…nd the admission officer confirmed that they received my transcript but…the box still has not been checked yet…

dun worry =D

I actually called NYU to confirm they have my transcript and that I do not need to do anything else and they confirmed that they have it.

I sent my application Oct 30th and my High School transcript is still unchecked. I sent my SAT scores NOV 8th and they have been checked off before my transcript should I call or just wait?

I would definitely call, my transcript was unchecked till I and my guidance counselor called to check on it. I know that Albert gets behind at times, it should definitely be logged by now (at least I think so). When I called I called the Office of Undergraduate Admissions (212-998-4500). Hope this helps

They probably just never updated your account, but def call because word is that they finish decisions Monday.

NYU told me that they would e-mail me or call me if something was missing when i called them to check on my application. So, in other words, if NYU hasnt contacted you yet, there shouldnt be a problem. The man i spoke to in fact said that the Albert isnt reliable.

so you think everything is fine? or should i call just in case

It wouldnt hurt to call, of course. I just wouldnt worry too much. The Albert is apparently one of the biggest complaints that NYU students have in general.

Not to change the subject or anything, but it’s such a tease that they give us an account that all actual NYU students have…if we get in, we’ll have these accounts and be using them in the heart of Manhattan as NYU students to pick our classes, check our aid status, etc. I wonder what happens if we don’t get in - do they just delete it?

alright… so i called them and all the lady said was at this time we don’t have your transcript… Its been a month… what should i do??

Have it sent again, ASAP. I would also see if there is some way to prove that you sent it. Did the lady on the phone give you any advice?

no she just asked for my social security and said we don’t have it on file and hung up

Well that’s rude! Try emailing them and KEEP calling until you figure it out. Good luck!

I emailed them and they now they said they don’t my teacher/counselor recs and transcript… could it be delayed??my counselor said she sent everything out but its practically december…

Did he send it by paper or online via common app? Because if he submitted it online… they SHOULD have it because well… your common app will confirm that you sent it (and the transcripts must be attached or it would not have allowed your counselor to submit your report…)
By paper… could it have been lost in the mail? Is this ED? Because I was asking the NYU admissions counselor when I should have everything in (my ACT scores) and she told me that final decisions would be made… well… today…
I would keep emailing and calling… Best of luck!

it’s weird because on common app it says school forms are complete but they still say they haven’t received any transcript, teacher and counselor recs

You submitted it online then? and it has a green date next to it that says “submitted on ____”? Then it might be a problem with common app or nyu’s system… MAYBE it’s not updated on their system but they have it? Either way, I would keep calling until they have it. You should also get your counselor to call them.

Nope, my counselor sent all the forms in paper form and school forms are green but my high school transcript is still unchecked… i’ll try calling tomorrow again so far they still don’t have it

Is there a possibility that it got lost in the mail? Alot of people’s high school transcript box is still unchecked… my friend’s was until our counselor called nyu. I would just keep calling and asking them what you can do at this point.

FYI, decisions haven’t been made yet…there’s still time to get it straightened out!
