transcripts

My son applied to 7 common app schools. He initially filled out four applications on the common app and three using the schools own application because they were free. WHen he had trouble submitting the common app he decided to apply to all the schools using the individual applications.

The guidance office called the other day to say that there were three common app schools listed on Naviance that he had to add to the common app. They explained that this was necessary to send his transcripts electronically through the common app.

This is the first year our school is using the Naviance matching process. Does anyone know if his transcripts will get submitted if he did not apply to ANY schools through the common app???

In the event that no one knows that answer - Does anyone know how long it takes for the status to change from submitted to delivered?? (that way if too much time passes I can contact guidance again and express my concerns)

Why can’t the counselor just mail the documents in for the paper schools? If you give him/her addressed envelopes, they can print and send your transcript, etc in that way. My daughter’s counselor only does print and mail paper forms, even with the Common Application schools, so I’m sure there is a way to avoid the Common App if your son isn’t using it.
