I applied for Computer Engineering, but was accepted into computer science as my second option. I do not see Pre-Engineering mentioned in the acceptance message. Would there be any way to transfer into Computer Engineering, or should I just go to CSU where I’ve been accepted? Yes, I am certain I want to major in Computer Engineering. I’ve taken Engineering andComputer Sciences classes the last 2 and 1 years, respectively.
I would not go to CSU, it is not in the same ballpark in any real academic area as CU Boulder. Plus, you can always do IUT if you really want to be in Computer Engineering. You will be able to transfer into whatever major you want after your first semester at CU Boulder. Moreover, we will all have to take gen ed’s our first semester anyway.

I am sorry you did not get in, CU Boulder is highly competitive these days. ACT of 30+ in engineering. Nevertheless, a CU Boulder education will pay off much more than any degree from Colorado State. One is an emerging elite university and the other is a mediocre state school…
@liberalarts2018 I have a lot of family that live in Colorado and kids attended the state universities. STOP putting down schools like CSU and Mines. Just because you decided to attend Boulder doesn’t make any other college in Colorado any less. Boulder, like a lot of other colleges, post stats about who was accepted. It doesn’t tell you about the stats of who enrolled. The fall 2017 class has an admission rate of 80%. Stop with your scare tactics and only promoting Boulder. I know a lot of people that were gainfully employed who attended CSU and Mines. Because Boulder was your decision don’t make it seem like no other college is worth going to. College is about what a student makes of it.
Don’t tell someone not to go to CSU
