I was wondering about when I should be notified if I got in or not. I know the deadline is March 15 and the notification time is before May 15 but I was wondering when previous transfer students were notified.

<p>My daughter transferred in for the fall semester '10. She was notified of acceptance in late March.</p>
<p>Does anyone know how notification takes place, i.e. by email, snail mail, no website etc… Also squeegis, that’s interesting. I assumed that notification would have to wait until regular admissions acceptance are due, so they have an idea as to space. Do you have any idea if the end of March is the norm for transfers or some aberration.</p>
<p>I do not know what the “expected” notification date is. She was notified by mail.</p>
<p>According to Emerson’s twitter account, they will start releasing transfer admissions mid to end of April.</p>
<p>I know this is late, but I am too in the same boat as you. I called admissions a couple of days ago and the woman who answered said May 15th. I too saw on Twitter the mid to late April statement a while ago. So, I guess we’ll have to see when we’re notified. (Fingers crossed it’s mid April! About two more weeks!) Either way, I wish the best of luck to you, fellow transfer applicant!</p>
<p>For what it’s worth, I spoke to someone at admissions and asked them which is more accurate, the general May 15th date or the Twitter information. The person I spoke to ( a student rep), said the Twitter people would have the more accurate info. It’s a rolling acceptance so while it “may” start mid april, it will likely continue thru May 15th.</p>

<p>Just an update, I logged onto the Application Portal. The Admission Decision is up, and it says:
“Fall 2012 admission decisions for completed applicants will be available on a rolling basis beginning on April 19. Your admission decision will generally be available no later than 7 days after your decision is processed.”
So, check back April 19 and hopefully yours will be up too!</p>

Just wanted to let you all know that, I GOT ACCEPTED!!

What major did you apply for/when were all your credentials completed? I applied for theatre studies-acting and studio tv as a backup, then my credentials were sent in around the first week of March. What about you? I was thinking maybe its separated by credentials being sent in first, then separated again into majors? Hopefully? Or maybe they’re giving our applications more consideration, we’re not accepted yet but not rejected yet either!</p>
<p>I applied for film studies and completed my application on the due date. Waiting to hear back has been driving me nuts. I thought it would have happened a lot sooner. Where are you transferring from?</p>
<p>I’m originally from uri, but I’m at a community college to save money. It didnt make sense paying so much when I hate the school haha. But I called them to see if they would give me any hints on my application, but all they said was they do their application releases in “waves”. But yes it is absolutely driving me crazy, Im so nervous! I’m going to UNCW if this doesn’t work out, and I’m expected to go to orientation may 15th so I’m hoping I get an answer soon! Where are you transferring from?</p>
<p>I’m at the University of Tampa right now. Emerson was my first choice, but I didn’t get in. I thought I’d stay a year at UT to see if I liked it. Needless to say, I haven’t. The film program was disappointing, the majority of the students act like morons, and there’s not much to do in the city.
Do you think they’ll post decisions over the weekend?</p>
<p>Oh, that’s horrible. I really hope you get into Emerson then! It’ll be a nice change for you. I don’t think that they would notify us over the weekend because I think they only do decisions during M-F office hours, but I could be wrong! </p>
<p>Maybe I am thinking (obsessing) about this too much, but I have a feeling that they will send them out on Tuesdays and Thursdays, because they released some just yesterday, then May 15th, the latest date of notification, is a Tuesday. I could be wrong though, its just a theory!</p>
