Bc I was told we get a letter in the mail on 3/27 but now I am hearing so many things…

My suggestion would be to just call the admissions office. Whatever they tell you is the truth. Whatever you read on these boards is most likely conjecture, unless it says “I called the admissions office and they said it would be XX date”

Yeah, I’m just gonna figure it out… Still haven’t heard much. Not wanting to call and pester them either…

OK, suit yourself. But if you don’t contact the admissions office directly you’re just going to be driving yourself crazy with rumors for the next few weeks. The Ada process is unlike and not equatable to the other admissions processes, so what you need is Ada-specific info.

Ok just spoke to someone about the Ada notifications and she said that i would get an email notification and then could check the status online as well as getting a physical letter mailed that day… Ok team Tuesday!!!

I called the admission office and they said first round transfer decisions were going to be mailed on the 27th… I’ll still check bannerweb just incase they are on there as well. I’m so nervous. Best of luck to everyone. Just breathe, right? :)

I knew a transfer student last year and she was able to access her admissions decision online the day that letters were mailed, so I imagine it’s the same this year. Keep in mind that FA is not available online, it comes in your letter. Also, remember that usually the decisions aren’t available online until close of business on the east coast. Good luck everyone!

As I said before:
“I called the admissions office, they said that first round transfer decisions will be online after 6 PM on Tuesday the 27th.”
That’s the official word from Smith :)

Jeez, first round of decisions? How many will there be? I got my email this afternoon to check at 6 pm on Friday…

You are an Ada right? I think you are different than transfers, as smithie was saying. Freshman today, transfers Tuesday (thanks, userid!), adas Friday? I would go by your email you received.

I’m a transfer applicant and haven’t gotten an e-mail about when to check… I am kind of just going with the flow.

@naturalista – There are several application deadlines for transfer students, so there are several notification groups. If you apply by the first deadline, my understanding is you get a response back in the first round, second deadline is a little later, and so on. Thats why they say the first round of decisions are avail on X date.

@Smithieandproud thanks for the clarification on the “rounds” thing! Either way, Tuesday is my day! Excited!

Good luck!!!

I was just a day or 2 late applying to 1.2. transfer deadline… And haven’t received any emails from Smith on when I should expect a notification… Does that mean that I have to wait for another notification date, and if yes, when is that?

HelplessChild, I can’t specifically answer your question, but I’d encourage you to call the Admission office on Monday morning.

Six pm today!!! Exciting times! Good luck everyone! My only hope is that I have access before 6 pm & that I get in of course!

Have a number of people received an email with log in information for today’s decisions?

I haven’t, but I still plan on checking tonight. Anyone else?

I didn’t get an email either. But I just got a phone call from the transfer admissions rep for my state… I’m in!!! I could not possibly be happier. Keep an eye on your phones today, and good luck everyone!!!

(The number showed up as blocked, by the way, so if you get a call from a blocked number or a 413 area code - answer it!)
