Transfer admission

No info was on banner web for me, but I did get a phone call. Check your email as well; I got an email from Smith yesterday and didn’t think it was anything special but when I clicked on links it required me to log in with my banner web number and last name for access. The pages inside the email included the congratulations video, info about open campus, and even offer to accept/deny your offer of admission. All of this was through the Smith website and I was only able to access it through said email and links. When the woman called on the phone Tuesday, she said packets were mailed that morning. Hopefully that helps!

Alyssaar, I think for some reason when admissions says “decisions can’t be given out over the phone” it means that you can’t call them and receive a decision - it has to work the other way around. Weird thing happened to me with my transfer acceptance; I got my FA package in the mail first, freaked out with joy, but when I called them they told me the same thing about how decisions can’t be released over the phone and that it “may have been” just a mistake and I would have to wait and see. I received a phone call about 2 weeks later telling me that I WAS in fact accepted and that the FA had just been sent out too early for me for some reason. So I guess what I’m trying to say is don’t assume you’re rejected yet - the admissions office staff (not the counselors who do the accepting/rejecting) is a little weird about transfer-related stuff. I hope you get in, good luck to you!

I think radiosonde is exactly right about the phone calls. Also, I received my admissions packet today (in Connecticut) so everyone should be getting them soon. Vegancookies - could you maybe post the link they sent you? I’d love to try and see if I can access it with my login info… want to see the video and open campus info :)

I just got a letter from Smith saying I won’t get my decision until June ): Apparently I turned in some things too late to be considered for “round one.” Does anyone know if being in round two makes my chances of getting in any slimmer? Congrats to everyone who got in/waitlisted!

Applying to transfer to Smith from Oberlin, I also just got the letter saying I won’t get my decision until June. Ahhhhh fingers crossed!

Anyone applying to transfer for fall of 2013? Do we know when the earlier decisions are going out? Fingers crossed!

Mailed on March 26.

I was admitted this afternoon, but I didn’t receive an e-mail. I called the office to check!
