Transfer Admissions Help!!!!!!

Hello everyone,

I'm currently looking to transfer to a good/great university for mechanical or electrical engineering. My current GPA at the CC I'm attending is 3.31 but I expect it to increase before I actually transfer. I plan on taking Calculus I in the winter but I have taken most of the required English classes and physics I. If anyone has some ideas as to where I should apply to I would greatly appreciate it. As of now I'm currently looking at Georgia Tech, Texas A&M, University of Texas, Michigan State, Villanova, University of Tennessee, Rensselaer Polytechnic and pretty much everywhere else that has a awesome engineering program. I would greatly appreciate any advice as to where you think I should apply too, I'm currently living in Michigan but I would be more than willing to move out of state.

I'm also not sure if it matters but I'm also a army Veteran, would being a veteran help my chances in getting into these colleges?

Being a veteran definitely could help. Schools like veterans because they bring maturity, good work habits, and possibly leadership experience. Some schools have special programs to recruit veterans; I don’t remember specifics but you can search.

You have a good list. Add these to explore: Purdue & Rose-Hulman, both in nearby Indiana.

Assuming you are using your GI Bill check to see what will be covered at each school. Some colleges give in-state status to veterans for school while others do not.

Rose-Hulman looks like a great school.
