Transfer ADVICE

I am currently in a community college and looking to transfer to syracuse university in the spring as a sophomore, I was wondering if someone could share the transfer process and views of this school, I have a great interest in the communications program there and would like some details also some information from a transfer student that would share some info about the social scene possibly greek life I've read that you would need 12 credits completed from that university to rush but as a transfer I would not have that opportunity at that time, is there anyway to get around that? and making friends as a transfer student, I am from florida so going to this school would be a complete change, I would love some feed back thank you!

How many credits do you have so far? Major? Affordability?
Syracuse is a great school but thier financial award is not that appealing.
Great education and the Greek life like you said is great, but why is that even a major concern for you at this point. That is one of the downside of going to a CC before a 4 year university.

Depending on your transfer credits, if a junior, your peers will be busy with internships, graduate school search and applications and not so much of the Greek life anymore, as they already did all that their first 2 years.

Friends… if you want them you will have them, but like any college, students build-up their cliques during orientation and their entire freshman year. So you will have try a bit harder o make good friends.
Best of luck to you.

Financial aid for transfers is typically bad, and worst for spring admits.

Will your family pay the costs of Syracuse? If not, then also apply to some affordable schools. If you need aid, then apply to schools that give good aid to transfers, and dont apply as a spring admit.

Their web site has all kinds of info on the transfer process. Have you looked there?
