Transfer Advice

I’m a first year student at a 4-year college at the moment, but I brought in enough credits from high school (AP tests and dual enrollment) to be considered a sophomore. Due to issues with paperwork, I lost a lot of my financial aid, so I may be forced to transfer next year. At the moment I have a C in a class - I might be able to raise it to a B, but no higher - and so my GPA is already lower than I would desire for a transfer application, and I only have this single year to raise it.

Should I be worried? Is it possible to transfer into a good school with just one year of undergrad classes and a C on my transcript?

Do what you can to pull up that grade. Then stop worrying.

Do what you can to get the financial aid paperwork sorted out. Transfers usually don’t get good aid, so if you will need aid wherever you do go, you need to have that stuff ready.
