I was just wondering how beneficial transfer agreements are at getting into Cornell. I was planning on applying this semester (1 semester shy of getting my A.A degree) but if transfer agreements substantially increase chances, then I woul maybe stay another semester. Anyone have any ideas?

This was a little confusing...um...I guess it matters what ur situation is.

I havn't heard of any transfer agreements except for some in CALS with very particular programs at certain SUNY colleges.

Well for example, OCC (a SUNY school) does have particular transfer agreements for CALS (though for guite a few majors in CALS), but they also have a TA for Human Ecology, which covers every major within that school

To Figgy: I know it sounds a little confusing, but transfer agreements tend to differ between schools. Some schools just guarantee that all your credits will transfer, but it does not increase your chances in relation to another applicant in a different situation. While other transfer agreements offer most likely/guarantee admission to those who follow the transfer agreement curriculum. So what I'm asking is where Cornell falls in those two categories

i've only heard of a 'transfer agreement' at Cornell being extended to only credit transfer, not with admission.

In case of endowed part of colleges, all credits will be awarded after you get the final admission. Your 'transfer agreement' helps your starting credits in Cornell, but does not increase your possibility of admission.

Thats what I was looking for. Thanks gomestar and actionmask
