Transfer and Dorm Questions

I just graduated high school, but I'm going to community college my first 2 years and like to plan ahead of things.

I want to go to Rutgers NB for my junior year. I also want to dorm for the college experience. But the whole transferring is very confusing to me and gives me anxiety thinking about it.

Do I apply to Rutgers NB when I start my sophomore year of Community College? What does my GPA have to be?
And Will I be able to get a dorm? I heard transfer students rarely get dorms, but I would like to dorm at least once in my life.

You can get started here:

http://admissions.rutgers.edu/Transfers/TransfersMain.aspx

The Rutgers website is quite helpful; if you have further questions, you can always call and talk to someone at Rutgers.

GPA: High school graduates who will have completed at least 12 college credits apply as transfer students. We’ll take a look at your transcripts and conduct a credit evaluation after you have been admitted. A general rule of thumb: credit is given for courses taken at accredited colleges and universities, as long as you’ve earned a C or better and the course is equivalent to one offered at Rutgers.
I suppose you could request a dorm, but apartment housing might be a better option. You will still meet people through your roommates and neighbors. You don’t have to be in a dorm to make friends.

Don’t feel that you have missed out because you did your first years at a community college. Many people do it and go on to transfer into Rutgers successfully. Stop worrying and be confident that you have a plan of action; many people your age do not. You are going to be fine.

Would an AAS degree be okay to transfer into rutgers?

“An A.A. or A.S. degree from a New Jersey community college will be fully transferable as
the first two years of a baccalaureate degree program at New Jersey public four-year
institutions.”

I go to Burlington County College and I want to transfer into Rutgers NB School of Nursing.
Burlington County College only seems to have AAS degree for nursing, I was looking all over their site.
I might go to an advisor to see if I can get an AA or AS degree in nursing, but how credits do I need to transfer to Rutgers NB School of Nursing if I want to get a bachelors there. I cannot seem to find it on their website.
