Transfer and Graduate Schools??

Hello;

So, I was just wondering how things, in general, are done when you're a transfer student and apply to graduate schools. I'm at a community college now with a 4.0 now (but it won't be that way by the end of the semester...damn Saturday Gen Chem.). I'm operating under the assumption that my CGPA when I leave here (without a degree. I've been here for a year)to go to a 4-year university in the fall will be between a 3.7-3.9 and I know when I transfer, my GPA doesn't carry over.

I'm a chemistry major now that is switching to an English and Biology double major and I would like to go to graduate school for biology, but will my community college GPA be factored into the decisions or does it vary by school? If anyone has experience with transferring (especially from a community college) and the GRE, did you feel prepared? I'm not taking any upper level science classes at the community college because I've been told by a few admissions people from medical schools, graduate schools and professors that most grad schools would prefer if you took higher-level science classes at a 4-year institution and trust me, the labs here are shabby as all hell.

Any overall advice??

For graduate school, they will look at ALL your overall college GPAs so your CC GPA will be in there. They will also look at your major GPA.
