Hi guys,
I’m updating my course list in the application but what should I put down for my spring classes? Planned or In Progress? My courses start in February so I’m not sure.
Thanks.
Hi guys,

It doesn’t matter.
Contrary to the above, its usually better to list courses as planned unless you absolutely need the class to meet requirements or are already enrolled in it (of course).
The rationale for PL over IP is that dropping a course or switching out a course in favor of another one after the TAU guaranteed review deadline is less dubious when it’s listed as PL versus one that’s IP.
Well, if they start in February, then definitely put PL.
Someone in the UC Transfer thread was calling UCB on Monday, I believe, to ask about this and would post their response.
It is weird because it says for spring to put PL (planned), even though most spring courses will have started by the end of January. May not matter either way though.
The only thing that I can possibly think would matter with the PL/IP issue, is that if they see a class that’s marked a “IP” they might think you’re still taking it as a Fall class and should expect a grade from it when they see your transcripts? But that doesn’t make too much sense and I highly doubt it. I changed it to PL just in case, and they’ll see that the date i’m taking it is Spring 2016 anyway and I imagine they’ll put the two together.
