So I just now updated my application and all my spring courses from PL to IP.
I completely forgot to do it when my spring semester started like 3 weeks ago.
But is it super important to update it from PL to IP?
I did updated my fall grades before January 31st though and I didn't add a new class or drop any of my PL classes.
Everything is basically the same... except for the status change. I don't have to notify the UCs about this, right?

Unless you applied to UCB you don’t.

@Matt4200 I did applied to UCB? what difference does it make?

Is this really a thing?

Wow, I feel stupid. I had no idea that you had to change the status of your courses from PL to IP after the Jan. 31st deadline… I guess its my bad for assuming the schools knew what I meant when I said the classes were PL for SP’14

I guess I can kiss Cal goodbye…

@Anthroflo - No, with your 4.0 you’re good.

I think UCB wants you to do the MyBerkeley update and hopefully they know that you meant no harm.

@AnthroFlo I don’t think they will reject you just because you didn’t update it from PL to IP? I mean I hope not but yeah Idk if I am just freaking out over nothing

@Matt4200 but there’s nothing to update for myberkeleyapp for me since I’ve completed all the IGETC and major pre-req classes last fall and none of them was PL?

Thanks for the reassurance @Matt4200 and @CALmcb2014

Though I’m not too sure, incomplete applications or applications that were filled out incorrectly automatically get the axe don’t they?

I believe on the MyBerkeley I did indicate the units I was taking in the spring but honestly I have no idea :(

Maybe it won’t effect me too much because I completed IGETC and all major prerequisites before this (spring) semester… I’m going to talk to my counselor and maybe even call the Cal admissions office just to make sure though.

I didn’t even start the semester until February, so I doubt this “change” really matters.

Honestly, a lot of people put PL instead of IP. The UC’s understand what you mean. Don’t worry about it.
