Hey everyone, please chance me based off of my stats.
Current College: University of Rochester (just finished first semester freshmen year)
Major: Chemical Engineering
Freshmen year College GPA: 3.63
First Semester Courses: Calculus I, General Chemistry I, Introduction to Chemical Engineering, and Psychology
High School GPA: 4.0 (All A’s, took many advanced classes)
SAT: 2100 (680 reading, 720 math, 700 writing)
SAT II: Math Level 2: 740
None of my stats are particularly horrible to warrant very, very low chances… I think my college gpa (3.63) is justified in the sense that im majoring in chemical engineering if that was what made my chances low. @ndelkaif
I said that solely based on the fact that Tufts is notoriously a difficult school to transfer into – much more difficult than it is to get in outright – and your SAT score. Now I’m assuming they’re much, much lower based on the fact that you went back to every post I’ve made in this thread and commented expletives and the fact that Tufts is a school that really incessantly prides itself on the kindness and maturity of its students.
Well, ya know, don’t be rude next time because I see that you have given better replies to others on their chances for Tufts when they had much worse SAT scores and gpas @ndelkaif
A GPA of 3.6~ish is not easy to get in engineering. I am thinking of transferring to Tufts chemical engineering too, as a junior. I think I found information like somewhere on the website that says Tufts accepts 50% of its transfer applicants last year. I am not sure though.
“While the number of transfer students who matriculate to Tufts in a given year varies, typically 50 to 100 transfer candidates will be offered admission. The most successful transfer applicants not only demonstrate academic and personal success, but they include key reasons for their intended transfer to Tufts in their applications.”
Okay just clarifying it is probably not 50%. Anyone knows about the transfer rate?
