I've applied to transfer to Vanderbilt for the fall of 2006 from Hampshire College. The transfer admission decisions were supposed to be sent out on April 15th, but it's the 22nd and I still haven't gotten my letter. I called twice this week and the admissions office said they sent out the letters in two groups. When I asked them if the two groups meant anything they said, "No. It just depends on the order we processed the applications". My nerves are killing me and I just need to know something. I can't figure out why I wouldn't get into Vanderbilt - I've taken this semester off and I actually work at Vanderbilt as a research assistant in the psych. department so if I'm smart enough to work there I should be smart enough to go to school there right?!? I saw that at least one person has posted that they already recieved their acceptance letter, but has anyone been denied admission? I'm just trying to figure out if Vandy sent out the acceptances before the denials or if they letters truly have been sent out randomly. If anyone knows how Vandy's admissions offices works and could aleviate some of my anxiety I would appreciate it.

My daughter also has not received her letter. When she called last week, she was told to call back if she had not received it by yesterday. She didn't bother to call as she was admitted to her first choice school. I am hoping that the letter will show up soon just so she can know.
