Transfer Applicants - How Many Credits Do You HAVE to have?

Hi, I'm currently attending Westchester Community College. Thinking of transfering to NYU. I have absolutely very little credits for now. I have like 12 credits, my GPA for now is 3.50. Hope it will remain as it is or even go higher this semester.
Since I have little credits, I may end up staying for the first half of my second year at WCC to take more credits and apply to NYU for Spring 11 instead of Fall10. Just really confused right now. In serious need of someone pointing me to a direction.

How many credits do you HAVE to have to be considered for admission? Also, does ''non-credit'' classes count if you pass them?

And if SAT's matter I scored 1560(not too good or bad I guess) back in 08.

I'll appreciate any help I can get. Thanks. :)

Non-credit classes don’t count.

I think it’s a minimum of one year at your current institution. If you transfer before junior year, your HS scores matter more.

I transferred in 2008.
