Transfer buffalo

hi guys, please help out!
i am transferring out of my current suny with 3.0 gpa. i really want to go to SUNY Buffalo. does anyone know my chances? or recently admitted transfers to buff?
thanks!

I was accepted with a 3.0, 12 credits as a freshman from SUNY Potsdam. I had a letter of recommendation from a professor and I joined the newspaper club at school. You should get in, but remember, they look at your second semester also! Good luck

I got in with a 2.7 from my current cuny school

I also got in with a 3.0

I’m pretty sure you’ll get in. I got in with 2.57 28 credit transfer from my current cuny, but I’m also a EOP student so i guess it bumps it to around 2.7+ and I have no extracurricular activity.

I send in my application at the beginning of march and my register had some issues so I ended up sending buffalo my transcript late, on their site they received it on apirl 8, on my acceptance letter it was also apirl 8 when they sent it out.

What year and what major?

Hi, I’m looking to transfer into SUNY Buffalo from SUNY Albany. I plan on transferring for the fall of 2014, I’m a freshman undergrad. I currently have a 3.67 GPA for my first semester and I will have completed 30 credits by the end of the spring semester. I’m also the founder and president of a club, and I’m involved in other clubs as well. Can someone please let me know what my chances of acceptance are?

Your chances should be very good unless your HS records are incredibly bad. My daughter got in with a much lower gpa after 2 years at another SUNY. It does, however, also depend on whether or not you’re trying to transfer into a competitive program. Over a third of UBs new students every year are transfers.
