Transfer chance-intl student

Hello everyone! I'm currently a freshman student(equivalent to sophomore in a 4 years institution) at the University of Hong Kong. HKU's curricula consists of 3 years(British system). I come from the Mainland China and as a result had to spend one year in a Mainland university (Zhejiang University which ranks 3rd among all the universities in China).

At Zhejiang University:
GPA 4.6/5 (95 and higher=5.0) or 3.8/4(90or higher=4) All scores of mathematics courses are above 95 like mathematical analysis)
At HKU:
Haven't taken any exams but expecting a GPA of 3.7 for this term(fall)

No SAT scores.

ECs: co-founder(chairperson) of the Biology Society in my high school
Co-founder of the biology research paper discussion group at ZJU
First prize in National Mathematics Olympiad (2006)
Second prize in National Biology Contest for High School Students (2006)
Grade 10(highest) for piano perfomance in the National Music Examination(2002) the certificate is issued by Chinese Musicians Association
I jumped a grade in the junior school so I spent 2+4 years in the high school(in normal cases it should be 3+4).
I can speak a little German(taken two introductory courses in German (I AND II) and get 97 and 95 for each course.) don't know if it can be counted as ec...

My majors at HKU:Biochem+physics

I'm planing to apply for : without FA:Yale, Upenn, Cornell, Caltech, Duke
with FA:WUSTL Major: Biological Science related majors
What are my chances? Sorry for my poor English. Thanks in advance!!

I left something important
Rank in Zhejiang University is 5/100+ (I am enrolled into the best college in ZJU)

It doesn't make a difference whether or not you need financial aid when you apply to Yale, since they are need-blind. I don't know about Upenn and Duke's chances, but I can tell you have a very good shot at Cornell. Caltech is extremely hard to transfer into, since it is a very small school and a lot of asians would compete with you during the admission process. For Washington U, their financial aid policies are quite tricky, not even need-blind to domestic students. If you can afford Yale, WUSTL is not much more expensive. I would say that if you don't need financial aid, you can probably get into Wash U.

Did you take TOEFL? Your SAT might be an issue, and your first year in ZJ might be a small concern, since the credits might not be transferred. Frankly, you have a very strong academic standing, but your ecs are a little bit weak, which makes it harder for you to stand out in a pool of academically outstanding kids.

Applying without FA will help at Cornell since admission is not need-blind for international applicants. However...I'm not sure how they look at international transfers....depends on college and major.

Thanks! Ronaldo and dewdrop. I really appreciate your opinions! I think I'd better not apply to Yale and Caltech...
