Transfer Chance! -- NYU, Cornell, CMU, Columbia and UVA

<p>Hi Everyone! </p>

<p>I am an Asian female attending in-state university. (not the higher up ones like Berkeley or Michigan)
I really want to transfer for my junior year and people have been telling me I won't be able to make it to the top schools :( So I wanted to know what the forum people thinks about my chances in getting into those schools! (I really want to leave my current institution... I need more challenge!!)
(I'm debating whether to apply for these schools... If not, I'm planning to apply to Purdue and UIUC)</p>

<p>My high school stats were very bad.. </p>

<h2>High School(C/O 2012)</h2>

<p>GPA - 3.3(unweighted)
ACT - 28 Composite
25 English
22 English/Writing Combined
32 Math
27 Reading
29 Science
EC - Robotics(Won few regional competitions, captain)</p>

<h2>However, college stats are wayyyyy better.. lol</h2>

<p>GPA - 3.97 (One A-)
Major - Computer Science + Asian Language(I can't specify b/c if I do, I might get identified..)
Major GPA - 4.0 for CS and 4.0 for language
Course Load - 20+ credits every semester since I started college
Credit - 63 credits so far with back-credits & AP credits
EC - 2 internships so far(2012 Summer, 2013 Summer) and both companies wanted to hire me year-long but had to reject to focus on school
NASA Undergraduate research fellow
Language & math tutor
Financial Need - My EFC is 0..
Recommendation - I'm pretty sure I can get good recommendations from my professors! They seem to like me :) (some of them already wrote recommendations for me)</p>

<p>So..... Will I be competitive enough for those schools? If not, is there any other schools you would recommend?</p>

<p>Thank you in advance! :)</p>

<p>bump. I’m curious as well</p>

<p>I guess it’s a hard case…? :(</p>
