My questions:
What are my chances on the above schools?
Does anyone have advice if they have applied to these or other schools as a transfer?
Any other random comments regarding this post?

Sorry this was so long. Thanks :)

With that gpa I think you will have no problem getting into Texas Tech, SNHU, University of Missouri, and University of Arizona. I don’t know about the rest though.

I don’t know what you are looking for in a school, but I will say that when I visited the Texas Tech campus everyone was so friendly there and it was overall very welcoming. You could probably get the instate tuition rate as well. However if you are looking at prestige and rankings, then I don’t think you will have any trouble getting into a more prestigious school than Tech. Just my opinion.

I just noticed you wrote that you are concerned about affordability… How come you are not looking at any schools in your state?

I guess a few things I am looking for are:

 1. prestige and rankings academically
 2. affordability
 3. friendly people
 4. fairly transfer friendly

I actually have UVA and George Mason to round off my top 10. I haven’t really finished looking into both schools. UVA doesn’t have a guaranteed admissions program regarding my specific school. George Mason I believe does as long as I keep a 3.0 or above.

Actually I looked at UVA’s website tonight and they do have guaranteed admissions for all community colleges in Virginia given certain GPA guidelines.

I know you didn’t directly mention the school but thanks for the reminder and the feedback.

Updated if anyone cares to offer advice or give their opinions on my chances at these schools.

Okay so, after doing some actual research and knowing what I want to do, I’ve narrowed my schools to a list of 5 realistic options. With a few safety schools.

1.Virginia (School of Commerce)
2.Cornell
3.Cal-Berkley
4.Texas A&M
5.Wisconsin

Safety schools: Syracuse, Missouri, Texas Tech, Southern New Hampshire.
