I've pretty much been in a depression ever since I couldn't afford to go to the 4 years I applied to in HS and had to go to a CC. My grades reflect my hatred for my school and my decision. Not only that, but my mom had fetal alcohol syndrome (she's borderline mentally retarted) and living with her is chaotic and dysfunctional.

Do you think the colleges will understand my current college GPA and look more towards my high school GPA? My college gpa doesn't reflect my abilities at all. ANYWAY, just wanting somebody to chance me!

Applying to: Emory, Cornell, Tufts, Boston U, and a few others. Emory is my top choice, by far.
