Please chance me. I think encouragements would help me settle down a bit, but I want
to know the truth about what you think.

Thank you so much, and good luck on your admission process!

Guys. Please Chance me when you view the thread. That is the point right?

Well, hon, I wish I could offer you any kind of concrete information here, but I’m just another transfer applicant (as in, I don’t really know much about your chances- I’m not on any admissions committees or anything!).
However, just from looking at your stats and going off of the information I do have about transfer “chances,” I’d say you’re looking great. Your stats are amazing- your gpa’s are amazing, test scores are amazing, EC’s are amazing, hook is amazing…

I mean, really and truly, if I WERE an adcom official, I don’t even think I’d bother reading your app! You look like a shoe-in, seriously. I wouldn’t worry AT ALL if I were you- you’re golden. I can’t guarantee anything, as I said already, and I’m not sure if the international student thing is more competitive or maybe even gives you extra advantage- but honestly, I’d say either way you’re golden. Even if by some chance you don’t get accepted to ALL of the schools on your list, I’d bet my left arm that you’ll EASILY get accepted into at least ONE of them.

Breathe easy. You’ve done great work. Your goals are more than within-reach. Sit back and relax (as much as you can, trust me, I understand the anxiety that is inherent to this process!!!), you have nothing but occasions-to-smile in your future!

:)

^I wouldn’t say he’s a shoe-in but he’s certainly a very competitive applicant for each of the schools listed.

I will say he’s at least shoe-in for UVA

If he’s a shoe-in for UVA, why not USC and Emory?

because I can compare him with other transfers to UVA, but can’t compare him with transfers to other schools. Don’t have first hand info for other schools

Certainly- there are no guarantees here. These schools take a veeeery low percentage of transfer applicants, so even the MOST accomplished student can’t be certain of anything. But really, really, really- I do not, in any way, see you getting five rejection letters here. You have a nice list of five schools, any of which you obviously would be happy to get into, and that’s what counts- I believe from the bottom of my heart that you will be accepted to at least one of them, so I see this process ending with you smiling, one way or another. :)

I also wouldn’t say a shoe-in for any of them either (including VA, esp if you’re OOS). A 4.0 is great, but if you’re a sophomore transfer, I’m assuming you’ve only taken one semester of classes? A 4.0 after 60 credits is a lot more appealing than a 4.0 after 15-18. But your HS stats are great, and you seem competitive for any of them. Good luck!
