Hi!

I Things your odds are pretty great! Many of the UC campuses have high acceptance rates. Plus you have some great EC’s.

I personally applied to UCLA, Berkeley, San Diego, and Santa Barbara.

GPA: 4.0

EC’s: Work at a cancer research center, Volunteer at American Red Cross, Salvation Army. Internship. Self-published Novella. Freelance writer etc.

Awesome essay in my opinion lol

Race: White

Gender: Female

i think you’ll find a sub 3 GPA will make all the UCs a stretch.

Apply and see what happens. San Marcos is a fine fall back.

good luck.

@NCalRent How likely do you think my chances are?

@chivih Your chances seem fantastic! Wishing you the best of luck!

Thank you!

Here is the UC Transfer GPA admit range by campus and major:

For UCR, the admit range was 3.07-3.64. It will be a close call.

I twas trying to be nice by saying ‘stretch’ but, with a sub 3 GPA and not coming from a CCC, your chances are pretty slim. Like 20/80… That said, UCs do include qualitative aspects in their evaluation so, if you nail your essays, it could happen. But again. San Marcos is a good school so, there’s no bad outcome here.
Good luck.

super late response here, but i transferred from a csu to a ccc!
