Transfer chances for UNC as sophomore

Hey all,

I slacked in high school:

Unweighted GPA ~3.7
Weighted 4.065
No AP credits, though I took an AP gov't class (I didn't take the test).

Extracurriculars:
3 years on the soccer team, 2 of which on varsity
Congressional simulation team member
About 5 years of reffing competitive soccer

SAT:
Critical reading-650
Math-620
Writing-610

Upon entering college at ASU, I decided to actually try. I took 17 hours last semester and earned a 4.0 GPA. Currently, I am taking 16 and plan to maintain that GPA. I am on the climbing team, and have performed 10 hours of service with the Humane Society. In my essay (which my mother, a writer, considers to be well-written), I play on my underachievement in high school and the subsequent transformation upon entering ASU. I am also applying to the ASU Honors College, but I'm not sure if that will be reflected at all in my application.

What are my chances of being accepted to UNC Chapel Hill as a sophomore? Thanks.

PS, is it worth mentioning that I’m and intended philosophy major?

Hey! I’m at ASU too, also applying to transfer to UNC next semester. Basically have the same stats as you. Don’t totally know what your/our chances are but good luck!

Hey, I saw your thread as well. Good luck!
