Hello all,

I am trying to gauge my chances for some schools to narrow down where to apply as a transfer from a California Community College. I'm not able to pay to apply to alot of schools so I need to narrow it down. I will be applying to UCB and UCLA where I feel I am guaranteed in for the majors I am applying for.

I will have a 3.82 at the time of application (w/ 3 semesters completed at CC), with all As and a C in Calc II (I was a few points away from a B and this really killed my GPA, the teacher was a jerk and incompetent). But I got an A in Linear Algebra. I am a first generation college student that comes from a single parent house and I've supported myself through all my education. I currently am involved in a startup, run a highly successful eBay business, play golf for school, and run my own investing portfolio. I don't think I am very competitive for some of the schools I am looking at but its worth a try. In HS I graduated with around a 3.9 Weighted (I honestly never looked at my final transcript lol) and 32 ACT.

I will be applying for Econ with a focus on math for the most part.
Here is my list:
Northwestern - Econ
NYU- CAS Econ
University of Chicago - Econ
Cornell - AEM
MIT - Sloan (no chance)
Duke - Fuqua
Darmouth - Econ (no chance either)

I feel like the only place I realistically have a chance is NYU, with NU being my dream. I want to narrow it down to 3 or 4 schools. Could anyone chance me? Any input is appreciated. :)
