I'm currently a Physics Major at Carnegie Mellon. For a variety of reasons, I no longer want to be here, I don't want to be a physics major, and I'm considering Villanova. I would likely be applying to the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences.

All of my high school stats are strong. I was ranked 3rd in the class, had a near-perfect transcript, I was president of our school's World Affairs Club.

Scores:
SAT: 2290. 750M/760R/780W
SAT Physics: 800
SAT Math 2: 800
SAT US History: 790

I also have a lot of AP credit: Ten 5's and a 4.

My first college semester has not been as strong. B/B/B/D, 2.6 GPA. All of the classes I took were very rigorous classes, and the D class was a class that sophomores usually take but I was able to get into because of AP credit. I am an active member of multiple clubs, but not an officer of any.

How would my chances be applying to Villanova for Fall 2014? I am hoping to get at least a 3.5, hopefully a 4.0 this semester. I am enjoying my classes much more than last semester, I'm much better adjusted, and I think a 3.5 is entirely within my grasp. It seems Villanova's transfer deadline is rather late (6/1), so they'd presumably be getting my second semester grades as well.
