Hey all, I'd like to give you a brief run-down of my situation and hopefully you won't be bored to tears. First, my stats:

Graduating with an A.A from a VCCS school in May
GPA of 3.7
Full time student and working 30 hours a week
Low 700 SAT scores

And now, the kickers:
Flunked out of my first school (explained below)
Almost no recent extra-curriculars (work + school = brutal)
HS GPA around 2.5

I'll try to keep my story brief; I went to another top public school after HS, got cancer, and had to withdraw from school for a year. I went back the next fall really depressed, and while I did well in some courses I failed in others due to total apathy; I was really down in the dumps. I got kicked out and moved home, where I got a job and started at NOVA, eventually moving into my own place. I was diagnosed with ADHD, and thanks to Adderal my grades have skyrocketed; my Doc thinks it may explain my low HS and SAT scores.

So, what do you guys think? I feel like a changed man, but I'm afraid my old transcripts will wreck my chances. Those plus my pitifully bare activities (outside of work) are big pitfalls in my application. Is there anything I can do to save myself, or should I lower my goals? Any and all advice would be much appreciated, thank you.
