Transfer chances to UCLA

If you drop out, move to California, and attend a CCC, your chances might improve (assuming you improve your GPA). If you attend a community college in your state, your chances might stay the same/decrease. IMO, they could consider “prestige” as a factor for out of state transfers. The only reason they can’t do this for applicants within California is because there’s a rule they have to follow that forces UC schools to give priority to CCC students>UC students>Other 4-year transfers. If you go look at past transfer student profiles for UCLA, it seems that most of the successful transfers out of Louisiana come from Tulane University. I’m not going to say that LSU is a bad school, but Tulane consistently ranks higher(?). Even transfers from that school are rare.
