Transfer Chances?

Hey all, currently a Sophomore at Rensselaer Polytechnic majoring in biomedical engineering and was wondering what my chances would be to transfer into bioengineering here. I was hoping if someone could chance me. My GPA is a 3.35 and playing Varsity tennis for a nationally ranked division 3 team. Will probably be doing research this summer in tissue engineering. Appreciate any help than can be provided, thanks!

I am unfamiliar with your current school but, I will still posit that your chances as a transfer to UCSD aren’t very good. The vast majority of transfer seats are filled by applicants from California Community Colleges. The handful from out of state come in with well above the average GPA of 3.52.

RPI is a school that is notorious for grade deflation and I know a few people who have transferred into Cornell with 3.3-3.4s. I’m just uncertain if RPI has the same reputation with admissions offices on the west coast as it does on the east coast. Thanks for the help though.
