When I graduated high school I went straight to a 4 year school where I eventually left with a 2.1 to attend cc where I left with a 2.0. This was all due to mental health issues.
Now, 6 years later, I have my mental health under control. I currently attend a 4 year school (I’m on my 3rd semester) and I really want to transfer. My first semester back I ended up with a 3.1. I had also dropped a math class. Spring 18 I ended up with straight As and have a 3.55.
The school I am at does not offer the major I want to be in which is why I am looking to transfer.
I mean, idk if colleges are able to look at your mental health history (and btw you should probably let the college know about your mental health history if possible), but if anything, going from a 2.0 to a 3.55 gpa should definitely be attractive to just about every college you want to go to. My only question is: are you at Penn State rn? If so, where do you wish to transfer? Or do you want to transfer to Penn State from the college you’re at?
If you are an adult student (over 24) admissions works a little differently. And you may be eligible for academic forgiveness, so the earliest attempt at college may not matter. I assume you have been through PSU’s extnsive transfer website? all sorts of information there.
