I am also an in-state New Jersey resident
I was accepted to Rutgers for the Fall Semester of 2008, but declined and chose Gettysburg College

What are my chances?

I know you have to have at least a 3.0 to transfer from a 4 year institution.Gettysburg is a solid school. You might have a chance. Why did you choose Gettysburg anyway?? Where you feeling "patriotic" and thought that you might be able to fire some canons off in salute of our outstanding country that takes advantage of hard working people, and elects a socialist/terrorist as our newly appointed president.

Haha, funny. But I'd like a serious answer. Gettysburg was my top choice, Rutgers my number 2. I loved Gburg, but now that I am here i have realized its not a place I want to be. And for your information, I did not help elect him. Anyone here who can actually help?

I was just kidding with you..relax tiger..the war is over( or at least the one in your head).Seriously...you need a 3.0 to transfer. You can't get any better information from anyone else on here..let's just say I have some knowledge of admissions...wink wink.! Regardless of what school you are transferring from, you have to meet campus requirements. If you where coming from Harvard or MIT with a 2.89 to 2.99 GPA ,admissions would probably over look that, but Gettysburg is not Harvard or MIT..got me on that one.For example,I met with a mutual friend who happens to be advisor to incoming freshman. He said this incoming freshman class( 09') are absolutely brilliant.4.0 to 4.2 GPA's 1375 to 1580(old scores) on their SAT's,and really respectable extra-curriculars.Rutgers is heading in a much different direction then most schools today. They are courting and collecting some of NJ's brightest.Ok..getting back to you.I know you think that transferring from Gettysburg to Rutgers should be a breeze with your current GPA..not a chance.I heard that 3 different students, one from NYU,one from Fordham, and one from Tufts got rejected and their GPA's where close to a 3.0.If you are confident enough with your current stats to think I am just blowing smoke up your a$$, then go ahead and apply.By the way..I didn't say you voted for the terrorist president.I am just pointing out that all the tree hugging,"have a nice day pal",modern day hippies fuc%ed our country by electing this traitor( the fuc&er took 2 million dollars in donations from over seas Iraq investors..ding dong, and he also said in his book that he would turn his back on america if war time came...great guy we elected)

Dont get me wrong I dont think its going to be easy. Ive been working my ass of day after day trying to get the best grades possible.

Oh and by the way, the whole thing about "that socialist guy" I agree with ya

Well..at least someone Rutgers related does.If your a staunch Republican..ya better stay at Gettysburg.Rutgers in the hippie warehouse of Universities ( Middlebury and Amherst running a close second)

There are so many liberals here, I'm the minority as a conservative. Oh well. I grew up around liberals so I think I can hold my own at Rutgers
