Transfer Chances?

I'm applying for transfer to UC for the Fall 2009 semester and was curious about my chances for admission. Here are my specs:

4.00 GPA in the University of Tennessee, Knoxville's honors program (49 credit hours)
Biochemistry major
30 ACT; 1420/2060 SAT
Would play varsity basketball at UC

Any input would be appreciated.

Looks good assuming you show a good fit/reason for transfer. Write terrific essays.

Make sure the coach writes you letter of rec

i was wl last yr am at bucknell this yr gpa - about 3.4 and am a rower . chances ?

Machiavelli12, I would like for the coach to do that, but I have not met him personally; we have only talked on the phone and through email. Is there a way I could get him to recommend me to the committee?

That's fine if you haven't met him in person. Just ask him if he would be willing to support your app. That's it. If he says yes then it will be fine and he will do all he can. Just ask that question and if he wants you than he will say yes

Alright, that sounds reasonable... Thanks.

Idk if you have looked at Uchicagos Mens basketball team but last time i had checked they havent won a game. I am sure they need all the help they can get. Then again, who goes to UofC for athletics hahah.

Yeah, I have seen their standings and it's not good. I'm not looking at U Chicago for basketball, but it is a hook that may help me get in to the university.
