transfer chances?

hey guys, i'm a current freshman at villanova, and im applying for sophomore transfer. i knew i wouldnt have a chance out of high school, but after doing well for a semester in college, id figure its worth a shot...here are my stats, can you guys let me know if you think i have a shot?

hs:
gpa: 3.5 (5 APs, school offers just about everyone you can think of)
SATs 2200 (750M/730W/720CR), Math I 700, Math II 730
major ec's: rugby team (award for integrity on/off field), president of frisbee club, worked in pharmacy (actual pharmacy stuff, not just ringing people up and swiping credit cards)

college:
chem major
GPA 3.93 (19 credits last semester, 20 this sem)
honors program
natl society of collegiate scholars
major ec's: rugby team in college, community service, invited to do research this summer

i also applied to UVA and UNC, and i really have no idea what to expect....let me know what you guys think!

I think it's important for you to also share why you are trying so hard to leave Villanova. It seems like it's not GTown you want, it's getting out of Villanova which might show up in your essays. Rephrase: Why GTown?

i want to work in the business side of pharmacy, and gtown has unique internship opportunities with the NIH and FDA Department of Health+Human Services

please excuse my naivete but what does business have to do with bureaucracy and research? Also, are you trying to transfer into the college to pursue chem or the nursing school to pursue a more medically minded approach or MSB to understand the business side of it?

its fine....im applying to the college with the idea of econ/chem double majoring and working in the business side of pharmaceuticals, somewhere where it would help to have a background in chemistry

well given that information, I would say that your chances are pretty good at GTown. If your rather low H.S. GPA is justified by a relatively high rank (school deflated GPA’s) then you’re in great shape.

haha not really school deflation, but for what its worth, my high school was recently featured in newsweek as the best public high school in CT

anyone else have any input?
