Transfer college? Advice appreciated!!

Current Kent State University student. Animation/Game Design major + Fine Art (drawing/painting) double major. I would be double majoring with Photo Illustration instead of Fine Arts but Kent's Photo curriculum is much more "VCD" orientated (BS) than art orientated.

Career goals: Strengthen skills to become a video game level/character/environment 3D artist; (ubisoft, infnityward etc) work as a concept artist using digital painting with photoshop; also be strong in fine art photography skills to create fine art prints, possibly weddings, but definitely more on the fine art side. (i.e. Brooke Shaden, Robby Cavanaugh style...google them, they're fantastic!)

I really liked how structured UNC of Charlotte's Art/Photography curriculum is, and how it's more fine art driven, compared to Kent's (kinda bs) way of adding pointless graphics classes and stuff to it. But it doesn't have as good as a game/anim program. I understand it's up to me to improve all of these artistic skills, but a little formal education never hurt, did it? I'd be making portfolios in 3-4 different mediums with the knowledge I'd be getting from a good school but I just can't pick where after picking Kent, which I sort of regret a bit. I can rely on other artists' workshops to help with photography, but if anyone knows of another school with a good photography program AS WELL AS very good animation/game design program? I had planned to keep the Fine Art Drawing BFA to keep my drawing skills intact but it includes too much "foundation" classes in sculpture and printmaking here at Kent that I don't care as much for as I used to in high school......and I think I can practice that on my own i feel. I think that having the game and photo majors would be more beneficial to me.
SCAD was my next choice (double major in animation or game design and photography, minor in game concept art) but I keep hearing a lot of negativity even though the program is decent and it's too much money unfortunately...maybe... so I'm saving it for my graduate school though, definitely.. The only problem is that, when I plan to go to grad school, I would absolutely love to get an MFA in both game art and photography.... so I would love to find a good school that is strong in both, even if it must be a state school to be cheaper. If not I know it's not the end of the world, but anyone know of one school good in both so I could get at least the proper training and practice with a BFA in photography and equal degree in anim/game art?

I know nothing about this area. But maybe you could talk to people actually in the business and get their opinions? Maybe there is some sort of trade group that could put you in contact with people. They would be the ones with experience in dealing with people from a variety of different programs and let you know what they think of the differences. Good luck.

Photographic arts has nothing to do with game animation. Totally different paths and not worth pursuing a double major in.
