So I’m going to be a high school senior and I’m planning on taking some community college courses to clear up some GE requirements for college.
I noticed that my community college has different prerequisites for various courses when compared to the colleges I’m looking at. If I take a higher level course at my community college (For example Chemistry 1B), would it exempt me from having to take Chemistry 1A at the college I’m going to? (Assuming that these courses transfer)
If you take Chemistry 1B after AP chemistry credit that your community college allows to skip Chemistry 1A, then if you transfer to another college that does not allow your AP chemistry credit to skip its first semester general chemistry course, then you may have to get special permission to have that waived if it is a requirement for your major.
