<p>I remember reading somewhere that you cannot transfer credit from courses taken at a community college (over the summer for example) while enrolled at UCI if they are one of the requirements for your major. I know that it said other things regarding transfer credit but I can't remember what they are. I can't remember where exactly I read it but I've been searching online for that information and I can't find it. ):</p>

<p>Also, if you'd happen to know, could I take online courses at a community college during the Spring quarter (well, semester for cc) while enrolled at UCI?</p>
<p>Lastly, I'm currently Undecided/Undeclared, planning on transferring into the Nursing Science program. Since Nursing Science isn't my major at the moment, I can take program prerequisites at a community college, right?</p>

<p>You probably cannot find the information since you are not in the major yet. But yes, at least for my major, some classes pertaining to it MUST be taken at UCI. University and school requirements may be taken at a CC. Also, all classes that are part of the major have to be taken for letter grade. If you are interested in Nursing Science, speak to one of the counselors or undergraduate chair and get things figured out–you can find their email information on the Nursing Science website. </p>
<p>PS–when you join a major, you get a degree audit on student access with the classes you need for you major listed their. On the degree audit it states classes must be taken at UCI. Also, you can probably find it written in the catalogue. So if you want to know if you can take classes at a CC, ask another student or look up the degree audit for Nursing Science and it state which classes can/can’t be taken at a CC, if any.</p>
