I need some serious advice for nursing majors

I am nursing major and want to do the RN program at UCI. I am now in my third year at CC because I did not do too well in my first year. Although I am all done with my general classes (and pretty close to 60 units) because I took so many classes, I still have to take my science courses (bio and chem). With somewhat discouragement from parents about being at CC for almost three years, I have given some thought about going to a nursing school in Anaheim (westcoast university). If I stay at my CC for two more semesters, then I know I will be into UCI for sure, or I can go to a career college and get an RN bachelors in 3 1/3 years. I do not know anyone who has gone to a career college, and don't have much information about it. What is it like? I mean as far as my knowledge, do only students that go there are much older? I am sorry I don't mean to offend anyone by saying that, but I just want to know IF IT IS A WISE DECISION FOR ME TO GO TO A CAREER COLLEGE than to do the Nursing program at UCI? Are there any downsides to going getting a degree from a career college instead of a University of California? Any advice/help/information is much apprecaited. Thank you all.

Do the university program at UCI.
From what I understand even community colleges have programs to become a registered nurse. It's not even necessary to get a bachelors degree to become a registered nurse. Don't spend your money on a career college, because it's completely unnecessary and you'll be paying for something you can get cheaper at a state school or even at a community college. If you choose to go that route, which I highly disadvise, make sure they're accredited and that their program isn't "bootleg".

Thank you for the feedback, and yes you are absolutely right I shouldn't spend my money on a career college when I could ge the education from a prestigious university such as UCI. Thanks again.
