<p>Hey, I was thinking about taking winter classes at a CUNY instead of Stony Brook or Stony Brook Manhattan because I'm short on cash. How would it look to a grad school official if some of my DEC classes were taken at a low ranking school, maybe even a community college, even though my major classes were all taken at Stony Brook and I have really good grades in those.</p>
<p>I'd think that would be up to the grad school to determine, but I'd say it likely won't matter, especially if it's just a course to fulfill a graduation requirement that doesn't affect your major.</p>
